6 Months!

Here we are again...another 3 weeks has passed. I must say that time is flying!! It will be September next week (thank god, I can't wait for fall) and I am 25 weeks right now. I am still feeling really good and have been enjoying this trimester. Louie has been my faithful walking buddy (when it's not too hot out) and life is good.

In case you haven't turned on the TV at all this week the east cost experience an earthquake and we are currently experiencing a hurricane. Crazy weather week! To be honest I thought the earthquake was kinda cool and even more exciting because no one was hurt. I was at work sitting at my desk and I work in a very old building that is being renovated. So I thought it was a construction issue but everyone started to freak out and run down the halls. So we all evacuated the building....after I went to the restroom of course.....and stood outside for a bit and then we were sent home. I figure I may never experience one again so thought it was kinda exciting. Right now it is raining and has been most of the day. Everything should be cleared up by tomorrow afternoon. The brunt of the storm isn't supposed to hit until early tomorrow morning. So we will see what mother nature has in store for us after I wake up.

Anyway I am going to go watch some preseason football with the hubby. Enjoy the pics....I am getting big!

Already August!!

Summer continues to be great for us. Lots of boat trips and friends visiting as well. A few weeks ago I had a couple of my book club friends down to the boat and it was an absolute perfect day! I met most of these ladies 4 years ago and it has been such a blessing having them all in my life. I always look forward to our mostly get togethers and more recently our summer trips. Thanks for so many memoires ladies.

Two weekends ago we had some very special family friends down to the boat. I met Ash about 6 years ago and our friendship has been going strong since. Recently our families met and really hit it off. So now we all share our loves with each other....boating and PSU. The Dunks came down for the weekend and although mother nature threatened rain all weekend it was actually very nice. Here are a few pics from the weekend.

Me and Ash enjoying the ride.
Louie enjoying his water time

Connie swimming
The men and their "man" drinks

And last but not least a belly pic. Mike has this "talent" to be able to push his belly out and look a bit prego. So here he is trying to compete with me at week 23. I am still feeling great and really enjoying this trimester.

Half Way There!

So far so good. Things are still going well past week 17. In fact its great. I can enjoy food, work out, and still not super tired. So all in all I am a happy lady. I am starting to show a bit more and week 20 is an actual bump and not like I drank too many beers the night before. (oh college how I miss you).

I had my 20 week sonogram and we were able to find out the sex of the little one. Any guesses?? Well we are having a very stubborn baby. haha. You didn't think I was going to tell you did I? Well I couldn't bc we don't know either. We have decided not to find out. When I was at my apt. baby was very stubborn and would not sit still so the doctor could take pictures and measurements. She even said if we wanted to know the sex she probably could not have told us. So it is still a mystery to everyone. One thing I do know is that we have a very active baby!

All my co-workers know now so it is nice to be able to talk about it openly at work. I also get lots of belly stares, but I don't mind. I will probably have to buy some maternity clothes soon since most of my pants are getting super snug. Not looking forward to that but I guess it comes with the territory. Lets just hope the rest of the pregnancy is as enjoyable as the last few weeks.

Summer Time....and the livin' easy....

This past weekend my sister and her boyfriend visited the DC area. It was so great to see her again and have her in town. I had not seen her since she got home so it was a much needed visit. We were able to spend some girl time catching up and relaxing together. I am so thankful she is home and that I will be able to see her more often than once a year. I love that I can text her now whenever I want to.

On Friday we headed down to the boat to spend time with the family and to get ready for visitors on Saturday. Some of Adriana's best friends came down for the night and we had a great time as usual. I am so happy that I am feeling better and was able to enjoy the time with the family and not have it overshadowed by sickness. It took 17 weeks to get here but I am so happy I am feeling better. I can enjoy the last bit of the summer and early fall (my favorite) before I get too big. I am showing a lot more now and will post pics later this week.

Yeah for sister time. and no we did not plan to wear the same suit in a different color.

All the beauties....can you tell I am trying to hid my bump :)

First Gifts

Little Babmino(a) received some baby gifts this past week. Our good friends Jerry & Kori have officially started the babies book collection. They sent us some great books and I know we can't wait to read them to the little one.

My mom also got this cute little toy/blanket for the little one. Isn't it adorable!! and let me tell you the blanket on the bottom is super soft. She said she couldn't resist. I may steal it and keep it as a toy for me!

Thanks to you both for the sweet gifts and thinking of us and the little one on the way. We have also received many sweet cards from friends and family so thank you all. You are making this journey very special.

Belly Time

As of today, (sunday july 10), I am at week 18. I am def starting to have a more regular belly. Meaning in the weeks previous I would have good days and bad in terms of belly size. Usually, depending on what I ate that day. But I think now the belly is here to stay.

Even though I was smiling in these pictures I was not feeling great at all. Everyone said, don't worry come your second trimester you will be feeling so much better...well week 16 and I was still feeling blah. I don't think I turned the corner until about week 17. In the first 3 months I actually lost 10lbs and I am finally back at my starting weight. I still don't have my sweet tooth back 100% (but that is ok for now) but I assume any day know I will be craving sweets all the time like I used too.

So hurray for feeling better. I am starting to work out again too, which has been nice. Louie has been a very faithful walking buddy. Now I need to start lifting weights again. I am just so thankful I am finallllllllllly feeling better. I am sure Mike is happy as well.....

Enjoy!

AUNT Adriana!!

Finally I was able to tell my sister. The week had arrived and mom, dad and I all headed to TX to welcome home Adriana and share my big news. In typical Army fashion her flight was changed about a million times. We even had to change our flights a couple times. We got to TX on Saturday and she finally landed on Tuesday afternoon. We didn't have much time with her since we left on Wednesday night but it is such a relief knowing that she is home for good!!

So I had thought that making a sign would be a fun way to tell her and as you can see below the sign read "Welcome home AUNT Adriana" I wasn't 100% sure the "aunt" would register since she is already Louie's Aunt but everyone reassured me that she would get it. So we bought some supplies and I got to coloring.

We headed over to post to get a front row seat for the arrival. We hid the sign when all the troops were walking in bc we wanted to take a picture of her expression. So everyone arrived and then the words we had all been waiting for "Families go get your soldiers" So there was a mad dash of everyone trying to hug and find their loved ones. We stood on the bleachers and waited for Adriana. When she got to us all she wanted was a hug and she didn't really read my sign. I know she was thinking "yeah yeah I get it welcome home....come give me a hug" But I stood there till she FINALLY read my sign and you will see below that her expression was worth the wait. It was such a great surprise and I am so glad I was able to tell her in person. It was such an emotional day to have her back and be able to give her a big hug.....oh no I am crying as I write this.

Ok well you get the point, here are some pics below. It was a great day and we are all thrilled that she is home for good and that she will be able to meet the new little one and won't miss anymore family moments.

YEAH She read the sign. She will be an AUNT in December!!

I had been waiting all year for this hug!
